This is of SoniaMatas and her husband Miguel as Companions to the Doctor. I commissioned this from HaneChan (Sonia's sister) for her wedding.

I really love this image, it was exactly the gift I wanted to give to Sonia. I thought that the metaphor of the adventure of being companions would represent the existing journey of marriage.

She's one of my favorite people here on DA, and working with her is just an absolute joy.  I recommend commissioning her without reservation.
I never quite know what to do in a lot of social situations.  But in this case, I felt like I should do something.  For one, on my birthday last year, Sonia was one of the reasons that it was so awesome.

I mulled this over for awhile, and I wondered what I could do.  Well, the answer was simple: art.  The question was "What?" and "Which artist?"
The which artist seemed fairly simple to do, her friend Eicinic (who was also part of the birthday extravaganza).  And almost immediately, Sonia posted something about her sister HaneChan, reminding me that I wanted to commission her.  Perfect timing.

But, suffice it to say that HaneChan was super-fun to work with, and she was absolutely perfect for this project too.  So, recommend working with her if/when her commission window is open.
