Every once in awhile, you just get some artwork, and then, little seeds start sprouting.  And then you hit an artist's page, and you go "hey!".  That's what happened here. I got this commission from Dan Parent at Ohio Comic Con last year, of Veronica as the Savage She-Hulk.  And it was my favorite thing of that weekend (followed by Ronnie as Zatanna).  (Let's ignore that I lost my camera.)  (though the guy cos-playing as Jim Henson carrying Kermit the Frog?  That was just awesome.  I don't have a pictures because of my lost camera.  More upset about the pictures! )

 

So, from there, I start thinking about this.  I mean for one the age old question "Betty or Veronica" is easy for me: Veronica.  I mean Betty is nicer and all, but Veronica has Black hair -and- she's just a bit evil.  But, inside that question is that it's posed to Archie, like it's HIS choice.  And yeah, the two run after him, and they are rivals, but they're also friends.  So, to me it should always be Archie gets kicked to the curb and Betty and Veronica are a couple.  (I don't think I'm alone in this fantasy.)

So, take that, mix in Ronnie as She-Hulk.  And She-Hulk is just a little bit more uninhibited than Jen, so She-Ronnie would be more likely to admit her burning passion.  ....and well, I start to piece things together.  When I hit 's profile, and saw his Betty and Veronica pictures (some of them heavily muscled), well, things just clicked and I needed to see what he'd do with the topic.  I was not disappointed!   Very happy with the results here.

I've had this for a two months, and kept forgetting to post it.  I think this theme has burrowed into my brain, as I'm fascinated by She-Hulk's size vs. other people, and I think that will show up in some other commissions.  And those grew organically (like this one did) from different seeds.  It's just a topic that when it crosses for whatever reason I go "YES!"  (Honestly, this should not come as a surprise to anyone who has viewed my other commissions, esp the Big Barda and Mr. Miracle ones.)

I just love Betty fawning over Veronica, and Ronnie drinking it in.  And Ronnie's sheer size here (both height and muscle size) is just what I wanted to see.
