Art by MSonia  (my commission posting with permission)>

GO RIGHT NOW, to MSonia's profile.  See that "Purchase".  Well for 30p you get to see the NSFW variant of this.  If you wonder if it's worth it...uh.  Yeah.  Your life is incomplete right now, and for a mere 30 DA Points you can fix that.  It'll be the 30 best DA Points you have ever spent.

MSonia is just AMAZING to work with.  She's warm and friendly, and she encourages all comments.   And, I think she's a wizard.  I made mostly positive comments, but followed up with a few "not sure about this, but ..." comments.  I have a pattern of trying to go into free association and just spitting out things that I see.  Honestly I write the email, leave a blank spot, finish off the email with "and you can ignore me, blah blah" comments.  And then some more on how i really like the art.  (I'm enthusiastic.  I'm a nerd, and my definition of a nerd is "someone who defines by what they love and not what they hate, and is not afraid to tell you about it.")  THEN, I go back and I sit and try to let anything and everything drift out of my head into the comment section.  On images like this it's REALLY HARD.

It's HARD for me to comment other than OMG SO PRETTY!! But I do try to say EVERYTHING that comes to my mind.  I don't remember it being much, but it was a bit of "hm.. think this might need tweaked".  (Hm..I think her legs were initially totally covered by the gauzy fabric and I'd asked if it could be more transparent.  I mean: LOOK AT THOSE LEGS!)  And I DO honestly want the artist to decide if my comments have any merit.  Sure I'm the one paying, but it's THEIR ART.  I'm just throwing "please review" flags 99% of the time (if I REALLY have a problem I say so, and unlike most review flags, I don't yell and throw things at the TV and badmouth the ref).  And I honestly believe in my Rule 0 and Rule 1 of commissioning:

Rule 0: Always have fun. (applies to artist too.  Which if given a choice and an artist says "I can do both.  But B is interesting/fun/always wanted to do?"  PICK B EVERY TIME.)
Rule 1: Only Commission from artists you like.

Rule 1 means "anything I asked for that you don't agree with as an artist?  IGNORE ME, because I did my art choice at Rule 1, and wouldn't be here if it I didn't already really love what the artist does.

What I consider amazing about Sonia MS, is that she truly welcomed and encouraged every comment, and listened to EVERYTHING, and then made changes I didn't even THINK to ask for but made all my concerns just fade away and enhanced the things that I liked.  Seriously, I got sent a thing I thought was a 9.99, and i get back an 11.  I had to recalibrate my scales. ;-)  I've had GREAT experiences with artists, and I've written about them. But I don't think I've had an artist who put so much effort into making sure that she understood exactly what I wanted, and made sure to deliver that to the best of her ability.  Seriously, ever stage I saw, this got BETTER.  And I was like "HOLY MOLY THIS IS AMAZING!".  And then it gets BETTER.  Uh. "HOLY FUCKING MOLY THIS IS AMAZING".  And then, EVEN BETTER.  uh.  THIS IS FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC.  I ran out of adjectives!

She has great communications, kept encouraging me to say ANYTHING that I thought needed changed, and was just totally positive during the entire thing.  She gets my complete recommendation.  If you commission her, you will be delighted by the experience and the art that you get.  Seriously, the art alone should win you over, but she's just really fun to work with.

As for the image, I don't know if I can tell you how much I simple LOVE LOVE this.  First this is sort of full circle, as it was MSonia's art that got me thinking of belly dancing which made me mention it to Didi-Esmeralda, who drew the First She-Hulk Belly Dancing.  And I really love it. I have no idea what my favorite commission is now between Didi-Esmeralda, MSonia, and TorqueArtStudio's two she-hulks and Zatanna, and Harpokrates/StacyRaven with She-Hulk at the Beach.

I just kept being blown away on MSonia's art.  She has a way of drawing women that short-circuits my brain. I end up staring at the screen for a few minutes.  I swear my language centers, and most thought, just shuts down, and a few minutes tick by on the clock.  So, since she was the seed the grew the other picture, I figured why not cross-pollenate and see what sprouts.

And thus this image was born.  And, wow.  In this image there are so many things that just make me happy.  The purply background just fits this image.  It's all dreamy, and just enhances the sexiness of the picture.  The costume is just magnificent.  I love the color choices.  I love how the gauzy stuff floats around her legs.  I love the metallic gold trim and how it gleams.   And I love She-Hulk's build here.  Some nice bulging in her biceps, she's lean, and has wonderful legs.  I love her bare feet, and something about her arched right foot and the calf just does me in. ^_^

She's got this sultry beauty.  I love her hair, it's just gorgeous.  And the way that it's hiding one of her eyes.  Oh yea.  This is all kinds of sexy.

I saved posting this for the end of the month as I knew it was elee0228's birthday, and he's been a commissioning inspiration to me.  AND he loves She-Hulk just like I do.  So i figured he'd enjoy this on his birthday.

Edit: Yeah, Like I said I re-edited this to have a better description and give MSonia a proper thanks for the wonderful job she did.  And I described the how the image came about, and fleshed out my reactions to it.  And I re-notified people, because I feel that the piece really DESERVES my full treatment and the best that I can do.  Sorry if that annoyed anyone for seeing it again.  But if you're annoyed at seeing THIS again, I'm not sure why you are in my profile in the first place. ;-)

She-Hulk (c) Marvel Comics natch.
